PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which is superior in safety in overcharge, and arranged so that the worsening of high-rate discharge performance can be prevented.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a positive electrode including a positive electrode current collector 1, a first positive electrode mixture layer 3, and a second positive electrode mixture layer 2 disposed between the positive electrode current collector 1 and the first positive electrode mixture layer 3. The second positive electrode mixture layer 2 includes lithium complex oxide particles 20. As to the second positive electrode mixture layer 2, the average thickness t thereof, and the average particle diameter dL of the lithium complex oxide particles 20 satisfy the following relational expression: 1.1≤t/dL≤1.8. |
