PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image information from being leaked from a nonvolatile memory, by data processing needing a short period.SOLUTION: An image data processing apparatus comprises: a compression processing unit which generates a compressed image file comprising compressed data obtained by compressing image data and a header including information required to expand the compressed data; a file management unit for storing the compressed image file in the nonvolatile memory; an operation input unit which receives an instruction of data erasure on the stored compressed image file; and a data erasure unit which, when the instruction of data erasure is received, overwrites the header of the compressed image file in the nonvolatile memory with bit data in accordance with a predetermined rule. |
