PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that allows control of the voltage drop caused by power converter driven pulses on the surface of an end winding, and to control the voltage drop such that no discharges occur.SOLUTION: A winding of a rotating electric machine includes: a conductor and a ground wall insulation part surrounding the conductor; and an end winding corona discharge protection part arranged on the outer surface of the ground wall insulation part, the end winding corona discharge protection part including a first layer. In the winding, the surface resistance of the first layer is in the range of 10-200 &OHgr;, the end winding corona discharge protection part further includes a second layer arranged on the outer surface of the first layer, and the second layer is formed of a semiconductive material. |
