This EL display device comprises: gate driver ICs (circuits) (12a, 12b); a plurality of pixels (16); gate signal lines (17a, 17b) that transmit a select voltage for selecting a pixel (16) or an unselect voltage for unselecting a pixel (16); and a TCON (95). Each pixel (16) includes a driving transistor (11a), an EL element (15), a first switch transistor (11d), and a second switch transistor (11b). Each of the gate driver ICs (circuits) (12a, 12b) includes a scan-and-output buffer circuit (31a, 31b). The scan-and-output buffer circuit (31a, 31b) is connected to the TCON (95), and an output signal of the scan-and-output buffer circuit (31a, 31b) is input to the TCON (95). |
