PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize selection of a new legal channel during regulatory domain changes and improve user experience during changes in an underlying physical link having wide applicability to many wireless communications links.SOLUTION: A transmit channel is opened by a communication device that has capacity for supporting a user's QoS. The wireless device determines whether transmission is required S304. If a request for transmission is required, it is determined whether there has been a change in regulatory constraints S306. If there has been a change, a channel is modified with a particular channel modification algorithm to comply with the regulatory constraints subjected to the determination S308. The device determines whether a transmission termination condition has occurred S312. If no transmission termination condition is present, the process returns to S304. |
