<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the blur and crash of an image while reducing an amount of data to be stored, in an image processing apparatus which performs screen processing.SOLUTION: A tone sampling unit 101 samples multi-value image data for each predetermined pixel range to generate tone information of each pixel range, and stores the generated tone information in a storage unit 103. An attribute information generation unit 102 generates attribute information representing the attribute of a pixel from the multi-value image data, and stores the generated attribute information in the storage unit 103. A halftone processing unit 106 performs halftone processing on the multi-value image data on the basis of the tone information and attribute information stored in the storage unit 103.</p> |
