PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment, a shelf, and a substrate unit, capable of efficiently preventing erroneous mounting of a printed board.SOLUTION: A substrate unit 20 is provided with a substrate identification key. A shelf including a slot for mounting the substrate unit so as to be freely inserted and removed is provided with a slot identification key. The substrate identification key and the slot identification key are configured to be protruded at a plurality of levels with different distances from a printed board 30. For the substrate unit 20 and a slot not corresponding to the substrate unit 20, the substrate identification key and the slot identification key are arranged at an equivalent level. When the substrate unit 20 is wrongly inserted into the non-corresponding slot, the substrate identification key collides with the slot identification key, and thus, the mounting of the substrate unit 20 to the slot is prevented.
