The invention relates to an aqueous dispersion, containing at least one mixed polymerisate, wherein the mixed polymerisate can be produced by provision of an aqueous dispersion of at least one polyurethane, and then polymerisation of a mixture of olefinically unsaturated monomers in the presence of the polyurethane, wherein a water-soluble initiator is used and the addition of the olefinically unsaturated monomers takes place such that in the reaction solution a concentration of 6.0 % by weight % based on the total amount of olefinically unsaturated monomers is not exceeded during the entire reaction time, and the mixture of the olefinically unsaturated monomers contains at least one multiply olefinically unsaturated monomer. The invention further relates to the use of the aqueous dispersion for producing paints, to a method for producing the aqueous dispersion, to a base coat containing the aqueous dispersion, and to the use of the base coat for coating automobile bodies and/or accessories for automobile bodies.
