PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve demodulation by a small number of calculations without causing deterioration in transmission characteristics, in a MIMO-OFDM transmission system performing demodulation by using a QRM-MLD system.SOLUTION: A propagation path estimation part 22 of a receiving device 1 estimates a propagation path response by using a pilot signal. A QR decomposition part 23 performs QR decomposition (H=QR) of a propagation path response H to calculate a unitary matrix Q and an upper triangular matrix R. A reception signal conversion part 24 converts a reception signal Y by the unitary matrix Q to generate a converted reception signal Y'. A likelihood information/demodulation result generation part 2, when likelihood information in soft determination is generated by using a QRM-MLD system, performs processing of the reception signal Y' generated by the reception signal conversion part 24 and a stage at each column of the upper triangular matrix R calculated by the QR decomposition part 23, from a lower part toward an upper part, selects a modulation candidate point by using a Manhattan metric, and generates the likelihood information for the selected modulation candidate point by using a square metric. |
