PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary vane type steering engine that secures lubrication of sub-gland packing, prevents excessive sliding surface pressure, burnout or breakage, and can detect the breakage from outside.SOLUTION: An upper gland seal device 13i is constituted of an upper main gland packing 13j and an upper sub-gland packing 13k. A lower gland seal device 11n is constituted of a lower main gland packing 11o and a lower sub-gland packing 11p. Gland sealing oil lines 53, 58 are connected to a space 13p between an upper main gland packing 13j of an upper gland seal device 13i and an upper sub-gland packing 13k, and a space between the lower main gland packing 11o of the lower gland seal device 11n and the lower sub-gland packing 11p, respectively. Galvanometers 55, 60 are provided to the gland sealing oil lines 53, 58. |
