PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector including a lens shift mechanism for accurately moving a projection lens.SOLUTION: The projector includes the projection lens projecting modulated light and a lens shift mechanism 4 moving the projection lens in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis of the projection lens. The lens shift mechanism 4 includes a first moving part 8 and a second moving part 9 supporting the projection lens and being movable in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis, a base part supporting the first moving part 8 and the second moving part 9, to make them movable in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis, driving parts 10X and 10Z including a driving shaft 11 supported by the base part, to be rotatable around a center axis extending in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis and moving the first moving part 8 and the second moving part 9 by the rotation of the driving shaft 11, and an energizing part 17 energizing the driving shaft 11 and locking the driving shaft 11 to the base part in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis. |
