<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce an image without deteriorating the image quality by not performing double-sided printing but performing one-sided printing when image quality deterioration is expected by the double-sided printing, even when the double-sided printing is specified.SOLUTION: A scan unit 101 scans a document, a scanned image processing unit 102 determines the image quality deterioration by show-through with respect to the scanned image, and the image is stored/managed by a control/memory unit 103. When an image stored in the unit 103 is printed, for a page determined to have severe image quality deterioration by show-through, an operation panel 106 displays a warning that double-sided printing may make show-through conspicuous. When a user selects one-sided printing, the page is printed by the one-sided printing to prevent the show-through.</p> |
