<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus for processing IQ data in a cloud radio access network (CRAN) to efficiently map, multiplex, and demultiplex compression and non-compression IQ data while minimizing complexity of a design.The apparatus for processing IQ data in a CRAN according to the present invention includes: an IQ data compressor to compress IQ samples by AxCs; a multiplexing unit including a compression multiplexer to multiplex data output from the IQ data compressor and a non-compression multiplexer to multiplex the IQ samples by AxCs; a demultiplexing unit including a non-compression demultiplexer which demultiplexes non-compression IQ data to separate the data by AxCs and a compression demultiplexer which demultipexes the compression IQ data to compression IQ data by AxCs to separate the data; an IQ data restoring unit to restore the compression IQ data by AxCs separated from the compression demultiplexer to original non-compression IQ data; a controller to control the multiplexing unit and the demultiplexing unit according to C&M data provided through an upper layer message. The C&M data includes information on presence of compression of IQ data, a start position and a size of non-compression IQ data and compression IQ data, IQ sample width of the non-compression data, a compression rate of compression IQ data, and mapping information by AxCs of the IQ sample.</p> |
