<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard coat composition with an antistatic function, which is suitable for providing a hard coat film with an antistatic function having excellent optical characteristics and antistatic property.SOLUTION: The hard coat composition comprises a quaternary ammonium salt as an antistatic, a polyfunctional acrylate, a photopolymerization initiator and a solvent. By controlling a molecular weight of the quaternary ammonium salt to a range of 1000 or more and 300000 or less, the following properties are obtained: an abundance (X) of chlorine atoms on an outermost surface of a hard coat layer formed by applying the above hard coat composition on a transparent substrate is 0.1 at.% or more and 0.3 at.% or less; an abundance (Y) of chlorine atoms after the outermost surface of the hard coat layer is wiped with a cloth is 0.1 at.% or more and 0.3 at.% or less; and X and Y satisfies 0.95≤Y/X≤1.</p> |
