<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve storage reliability of protected data which a user wants to store and to make long-term storage possible by moving data applied by protection processing from a memory block recordable with N values to a memory block recordable with binary.SOLUTION: A recording device provided with a plurality of memory blocks that have a plurality of memory cells recordable in binary of N values has: memory control means for operating to perform recording with binary or N values every memory block; means for moving or duplicating data among the respective memory blocks; means for recording additional information that shows prohibition of erasure or overwrite of data recorded in the respective memory blocks; and means for operating to protect data as a protection object when the additional information shows prohibition. When the additional information of the data in the memory block recordable with N values is prohibition, the data is moved to a memory block recordable with binary.</p> |
