The purpose of the present invention is to provide a light source device and a projector in which R, G, and B output beams have the stability of hues required for practical application, and the combined hue of the R, G, and B output beams is kept at a targeted hue. A light source device is provided with a control circuit for: determining, for each of an R-color output beam producible by mixing a main component light from an R-color light emitter with an addition light from a G-color light emitter, a G-color output beam including a main component light from the G-color light emitter, and a B-color output beam producible by mixing a main component light from a B-color light emitter with the addition light from the G-color light emitter, the ratio of the intensity of the addition light to the intensity of the main component light so that an instruction value correlated with a y coordinate of chromaticity coordinates matches a target value; and exerting feedback control on the drive circuit of each of the light emitters so that there is a decrease in the difference between the instruction value, regarding the combined light of the R-, G-, and B-color output beams, correlated with the chromaticity coordinates and a prescribed target value. |
