<p>The aim of the invention is to increase the injection speed of the injection valves in an internal combustion engine by using a single injection valve having a particular configuration for carrying out multiple fuel injections and combustions per rotation cycle of said valves. The single-valve propulsion thermal reactor (1') according to the invention comprises a casing (20) having upper (20s) and lower (20i) walls consecutively defining a sleeve (2) for taking in a pressurized air flow (Fa), a combustion chamber (4), and a gas discharge nozzle (6). The thermal reactor also comprises a single injection valve (3') for injecting fresh gas (G1) into the combustion chamber (4), and at least one valve (5") for exhausting burnt gases, which extends about transverse axes (X'X, Y'Y). The valves (3', 5") are cylindrical, and comprise multiple surfaces (31, 33, 35; 51, 53, 55) which have a circular cross-section and which are separated by cut sections (32', 34', 36'; 52", 54", 56") that define, by a rotation (R1, R2) of the valves (3', 5"), the intake (A1) and discharge (A2) ports for said gases (G1, G2). A thermal ignition tank (8; 80a, 80b, 81) may be built into the combustion chamber (4).</p> |
