<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centering device and a centering method in which the position of a central axis of a space surrounded with two or more projections of an objective device can be found easily with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A centering device 10 is provided for finding a position of a central axis of a space defined by two or more projections 24 disposed at an equal distance and an equal angle with each other from a central axis 25 of a centering objective device. The centering device includes: two or more planes 11 disposed to vertically cross with a perpendicular line drawn from the shortest position c to the central axis on the projection 24 to the central axis 25 of the centering device 10, at a position (a) having the distance from the central axis slightly shorter than the shortest distance b between the projection 24 and the central axis, correspondingly to the two or more projections 24; and guide means 13 for instructing the position of the central axis of the centering device 10. The centering objective device may be an electromagnetic device with four electromagnets disposed around the central space. The centering method using the centering device is simple in operation, and enables centering with high accuracy.</p> |
