An easily deployed free standing shelter where the position of the canopy can be angularly adjusted and manipulated to correlate with the position of the moving sun to provide shade throughout the day and to provide shelter from rain and wind from varying directions is provided such that as the sun, rain and wind conditions change, the canopy may be angularly adjusted by means of a unique pivoting mechanism without the need to relocate or move the entire shelter, the pivoting angle adjustment mechanism includes a control pin for locking the shelter at the desired angular position and allowing for easy unlocking and movement of the canopy without the need to move the entire frame.
