PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment instrument insertion auxiliary capable of smoothly guiding a distal end side of a treatment instrument in a central axis direction of an insertion opening portion of a treatment instrument channel.SOLUTION: A treatment instrument insertion auxiliary aids a treatment instrument in insertion into a treatment instrument channel, the treatment instrument insertion auxiliary comprising: a treatment instrument guidance portion for guiding a distal end side of the treatment instrument in a central axis direction of an opening portion of a treatment instrument channel upon abutting of the distal end side of the treatment instrument. The treatment instrument guidance portion includes two portions integrally formed by a single wire member: one is an extension portion formed by the wire member extending from the opening portion of the treatment instrument channel in an extension line direction of a central axis of the treatment instrument channel; and the other is a spirally shaped portion formed by the wire member spirally extending from the extension portion in a direction nearly orthogonal to the extension line central axis of the central axis of the treatment instrument channel.
