PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piece of metal foil for electromagnetic wave shield, an electromagnetic wave shield material, and a shield cable which have excellent corrosion resistance even in a corrosive environment and low in cost.SOLUTION: A piece of metal foil 10 for electromagnetic wave shield comprises: a base material composed of a piece of metal foil 1; and a Sn-Ni alloy layer 2 formed on one or each of opposing surfaces of the base material to a thickness of 30 nm or more, and including 20-80 mass% of Sn. In the piece of metal foil, its outermost surface has a contact angle of 80° or larger with water.
