<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma light-emitting device which is increased in the light emission efficiency according to an input power of over 500 W.SOLUTION: A plasma light-emitting device 1 according to an embodiment hereof comprises: an electromagnetic wave generator 2; a wave guide 4 for transmitting electromagnetic waves radiated by the electromagnetic wave generator 2; an electromagnetic wave-focusing device 6 to which the electromagnetic waves are applied; and an electrodeless bulb 7 disposed in the electromagnetic wave-focusing device 6. The electrodeless bulb 7 is filled with a luminescent material. The luminescent material is excited by the electromagnetic waves, whereby plasma light emission is caused. The electromagnetic wave generator 2 generates electromagnetic waves in an entire input power region of over 500 W up to 1500 W. In the input power region, the maximum output efficiency of the electromagnetic waves is 72% or larger.</p> |
