<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a modified olefin polymer capable of improving productivity and an amount of graft.SOLUTION: In a production method of a modified olefin polymer, a mixture containing an olefin polymer, unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a derivative thereof, organic peroxide and a solvent is irradiated with microwaves, and the modified olefin polymer is produced at controlled reaction temperature. The production method comprises the steps in the following order of: a) starting to irradiate the mixture containing an olefin polymer, unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a derivative thereof, organic peroxide and a solvent with microwaves so as to form a uniform solution; b) continuing to irradiate the uniform solution with the microwaves so as to deposit the olefin polymer; and c) continuing irradiation with the microwave in a state where the olefin polymer is deposited after the step b).</p> |
