摘要 What is proposed is: a two-wheeled gyro-stabilized vehicle with gyroscopic stabilization and methods for controlling such a vehicle. The special characteristic of the proposed two-wheeled vehicle is the presence in the design thereof of a stabilizing two-stage gyroscope, the frame of which freely rotates relative to the body about a vertical axis, and a supporting device which connects the wheels to the vehicle body with the possibility of independent movement of said wheels and which ensures that the vehicle is stable during motion over rugged terrain. The vehicle also comprises a sensor of the angle of rotation of the frame, which sensor determines the presence of rotation and the magnitude of the angle of rotation of the gyroscope frame, and a control system which receives a signal about said angle from said sensor. Stability is maintained by keeping the angle between the axis of rotation of the gyroscope rotor and direction of movement of the vehicle equal to ninety degrees with the aid of the control system by changing the speed of rotation of the vehicle wheels. Direction control is ensured by the application of a specified force in the lateral direction. The use of gyroscopic stabilization with a supporting device according to the present invention makes it possible to reduce the wheel base dimensions, having reduced the overall dimensions of the vehicle, and at the same time to maintain the stability of said vehicle.
