A beam former which performs a beam-forming comprises: a calculating unit which calculates a covariace with respect t to a transformed signal obtained by transforming an input signal by using at least one transformation function, approximating the calculated covarice in a Toeplitz matrix configuration, and calculating a transformed signal weighted value that is a weighted value with respect to the transformed signal on the basis of the approximated result; and a synthesizing unit which generates a result signal by using the transformed signal weighted value calculated in the calculating unit.
