PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thread for a vascular stent having excellent dynamic characteristics and capable of surely supporting a vessel having large contraction force from the inside.SOLUTION: In a method, thread for a vascular stent is produced by melt spinning resin material composed of poly L-lactic acid having weight average molecular weight of 70,000 to 550,000. The resin material composed of poly L-lactic acid is subjected to first drying treatment in a reduced-pressure atmosphere in a first temperature range of a glass transition point Tg of poly L-lactic acid or more, and then is subjected to second drying treatment in a reduced-pressure atmosphere in a temperature range higher than the first temperature range and a melting point of poly L-lactic acid or less. The resin material subjected to two-stage drying treatment is melt spun, and drawn in a temperature of the glass transition point Tg of poly L-lactic acid or more and the melting point thereof or less, thereby obtaining the thread for a vascular stent. |
