PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce lateral force acting on a rod, in a valve device for opening and closing a flow channel by displacing the rod axially slidably supported in a housing.SOLUTION: A pressure reduction valve 1 is covered by a cylindrical member 40 at a tip portion 12a of a rod 12 at a tip side with respect to a first bearing 18A. The cylindrical member 40 acts as a protection wall for protecting the tip portion of the rod from the flow in a valve chamber 15 generated by flowing of a fuel from a first port 16 to a second port 17. By the presence of the cylindrical member 40, the flow formed in the valve chamber 15 hardly collides with the rod 12 directly. That is, by covering the rod 12 with the cylindrical member 40, a side area of the rod 12 exposed to the flow in the valve chamber can be reduced, as a result, the lateral force acting on the rod 12 can be reduced. |
