PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery electrode material and a magnesium fuel battery which can be manufactured in a simple and convenient way, and a method for manufacturing the electrode material.SOLUTION: [1] An electrode material 2 comprises: magnesium-containing particles; and a binder resin for binding the particles to each other. [2] In the electrode material 2, at least a part of the binder resin has a form of fine-scale fiber. [3] In the electrode material 2, the binder resin contains polytetrafluoroethylene. [4] In the electrode material 2, at least a part thereof is porous. [5] In the electrode material 2, the electrode material has a sheet-like, plate-like, or post-like shape. [6] A magnesium fuel battery 1 comprises a fuel electrode composed of the electrode material. [7] A method for manufacturing the electrode material comprises the step of applying a shear force to a composition arranged by mixing the particles and the binder resin together to increase a binding force of the binder resin and to bind the particles to each other. |
