<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress pulsation of a pressure in a crankcase. <P>SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine includes: a balancer shaft 51 rotated in conjunction with a crankshaft 4; a balancer weight 52 eccentrically provided at the balancer shaft 51; a partition wall 53 sealing the balancer weight 52 while surrounding a rotation trajectory of the balancer weight 52; and an opening 54 communicating a space part 56 being a space inside the partition wall 53 where the balancer weight 52 is not present with the inside of the crankcase chamber 11 outside the partition wall 53. When the volume in the crankcase chamber 11 is equal to or more than a predetermined value, the balancer weight 52 shuts off the communication between the space part 56 and the inside of the crankcase chamber 11 by closing the opening 54. When the volume in the crankcase chamber 11 is less than the predetermined value, the balancer weight 52 communicates the space part 56 with the inside of the crankcase chamber 11 by opening the opening 54. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
