Provided is a desulfurizer that, with a simple configuration, is able to increase desulfurization efficiency by improving fuel dispersion properties. The desulfurizer (100) is provided on the upstream side of a reformer in a fuel cell system, and eliminates sulfur compounds in fuel. A lead-in connector (4) and a lead-out connector (5) contact a vessel (2), and at the same time the outer rim of each connector is affixed in a manner so as to respectively cover a fuel inlet hole and a fuel outlet hole. By this means, a fuel lead-in section and a fuel lead-out section are formed. The fuel lead-in section and the fuel lead-out section have an occluded section (23a, 24a) at the center of the space on the fuel flow side in the vicinity of a desulfurizing agent, and apertures (23b, 24b) are formed at the outer perimeter of the occluded sections (23a, 24a). |
