<p>An ice making device comprises a compressor for compressing a refrigerant; a plurality of ice making units: and a water supply control unit for controlling water supply from the ice making units. Each ice making unit comprises an ice tray, which receives water from the water supply control unit; a heat exchanger for freezing water in the ice tray by the heat-exchange of a surrounding object, which is performed during the evaporation of the refrigerant, and producing ice; a supporting member, which is equipped to be vertically movable, supports the ice produced in the ice tray, and controls the length of the ice exposed to the outside of the tray according to the moved position; and a cutting unit, which cuts the ice exposed to the outside of the ice tray. The ice making unit is controlled by the modes: an ice dispensing mode for dispensing ice from the ice tray by controlling the operation of the supporting member and the cutting unit; an ice making mode for making ice in the ice tray by controlling the operation of the water supply unit and the compressor; and an ice storage mode for storing the ice produced in the ice tray in order to dispense ice in the ice dispensing mode.</p> |
