摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the loss of a communication signal to be transmitted to an upper-level network if traffic congestion has occurred in the upper-level network. <P>SOLUTION: An optical line unit 12 is able to transmit a communication signal received from a user side device to an upper-level network via a plurality of communication paths. The optical line unit 12 comprises: a reception distribution unit 21 for distributing the communication signal and storing the distributed communication signal into a buffer on the basis of a communication path to a transmission destination of the communication signal received from the user side device and priority; and a transmission distribution unit 22 for taking out a communication signal from the buffer on the basis of priority of the communication signal, and for outputting the communication signal to a communication path to its transmission destination. When the transmission distribution unit 22 receives a transmission stop request of a communication signal to a communication path from an upper-level network, it stops taking out a communication signal stored in the buffer corresponding to the communication path indicated by the transmission stop request and outputting the communication signal to the communication path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p>
