A control motor, especially for a servo valve, the control motor having permanent magnet means, control coil means and an armature which carries out movements corresponding to the control current supplied to the control coil means, which movements are transmitted by the armature to an output element which, for its part, can carry out reciprocating movements about a centre position at its free end, and frequency-dependent, passive electrical damping means being provided especially in the control loop which comprises the control coil means, the damping means being provided as an enclosed damping element consisting of electrically conductive material.
