<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver-containing resin composition having an antibacterial effect and an odor eliminating effect on sulfurous and nitrogenous odorous components, free from coloring due to plasmon absorption of ultrafine metal particles, and effectively usable for applications where a colorless or white appearance is required. <P>SOLUTION: The silver-containing resin composition is obtained by combining a resin component with a silver monocarboxylate and a dicarboxylic acid, and heating and mixing those.
