914,098. Haymaking machines. VAN DER LELY N.V., C. May 22, 1959 [June 12, 1958], No. 39833/61. Divided out of 914,096. Class 6(3). In a rake-wheel type of haymaking machine which can be used for side-delivery or tedding, the frame comprises two parallel beams 50, 61 interconnected by a series of auxiliary beams 56 to form a parallelogram linkwork, the rakewheels 51-54 being mounted on parts of the auxiliary beams extending outside of the area of the parallelogram and entirely upon the side thereof, the parallelogram being deformable so that the rake-wheels can be brought from the side-delivery position to the tedding position (shown dotted for the rake-wheel 51). The frame is mounted on three wheels 67, 68, 69 of which the foremost 67, is fixed to a pivoted drawbar 70, the second, 68, is a caster, and the third, 69, is a direction-control wheel which can be swivelled about a vertical axis and set by a handle 71 and sector 73. Once set, the wheel 69 moves with the auxiliary beam 56, on which it is mounted, into the tedding position, without further alteration. |
