<p>A building panel having an edge portion presenting a sidewardly open groove (40), in which a tongue (30) formed as a separate part is received, wherein the tongue, which is of an elongated shape, is intended to lock into a tongue groove (20) of an adjacent building panel, wherein the tongue, when received in the sidewardly open groove (40), is bendable in a plane substantially parallel with a main plane of the panel, such that a part of the tongue is resiliently displaceable in said plane, wherein the part of the tongue is displaceable in the range of 0,1 - 3,0 mm during locking.
