The present invention relates to a method of certificating and acquiring data for a vehicle, which is capable of easily certificating data transmitted and received between control units provided in a vehicle. The method of certificating and acquiring data for a vehicle includes the steps of: transmitting a random value and a private value generated from a gateway control unit to a control unit, and generating first and second session keys using the random value and the private value by the control unit; transmitting a cryptogram and a first message certification code generated based on the first and second session keys by the control unit to the gateway control unit, such that the gateway control unit confirms based on the cryptogram and the first message certification code received that the first and second session keys are generated from the control unit; generating a cryptogram of a message and a second message certification code to be transmitted by the control unit, and transmitting a packet including the cryptogram and the second certification code to the control unit; and certifying the second certification code included in the received packet and decrypting the cryptogram to acquire the message by the control unit.
