<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a credit examination system and a credit examination method for performing the credit examination of credit card settlement by using a portable information processor regardless of whether a settlement sum is large or not, and a portable information processor and a computer program to be used for the system. <P>SOLUTION: Card use situation information showing the use situation of a credit card is transmitted from a credit information transmitter 1 installed in a card system C to a portable telephone set 3. Also, information for credit examination including a use sum relating to the credit of credit card settlement is transmitted from a store terminal 4 to the portable telephone set 3.
