The present invention provides a method for producing a soluble beverage mass or tablet, the method comprising: providing one or more soluble beverage ingredients 20, which may be in powder form, which may include soluble coffee, creamer, milk solids, cocoa or chocolate; providing a pre-heated mould 5 having a mould-cavity 15; loading the mould-cavity 15 with a first portion 21 of the one or more of the soluble beverage ingredients; loading the mould-cavity 15 with one or more discrete inclusions 22, which may be biscuit, marshmallows, gum pieces or similar; loading the mould-cavity 15 with a second portion 23 of the one or more of the soluble beverage ingredients; compressing the contents of the mould-cavity to form a soluble beverage mass 1. The beverage mass 1 can then be added to water, to form a layered beverage with inclusions, such as beverage 12 with marshmallows 13 therein. |
