<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image conversion processing apparatus which converts a digital photographic image into a sketch-like picturesque image, and displays on a screen or prints out the picturesque image with a natural impression. <P>SOLUTION: A read-in digital photographic image is displayed on the screen so that the top and bottom of the digital photographic image match the top and bottom of the screen. The digital photographic image is displayed as it is when not trimmed or over the entire screen while enlarged as it is when trimmed to a widthwise long frame, and converted into a sketch-like picturesque image with normal strokes which are obliquely downward to the left. The digital photographic image is rotated by 90°to the right or left and then enlarged to be displayed over the entire screen when trimmed to a longitudinal long frame, and converted into a sketch-like picturesque image with reverse strokes which are obliquely downward to the right, so that a sketch-like picturesque image with normal strokes which are obliquely downward to the left is seen when the image having been converted is seen in a normal top-bottom posture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
