A mount 100 for an electric motor and impeller comprising a sleeve forming a chamber 18 for receiving a motor, the sleeve including plurality of elements 32 projecting from a surface of the sleeve and at least one annular seal 40 extending around the sleeve. An annular seal 40a may be disposed at the first end of the sleeve and a second annular seal 40c may be provided at the second end of the sleeve. The seals may be convex or concave with respect to the chamber 18. And may be bellow seals. The plurality of elements may include at least one row 36 of conical elements, axial ribs 140 spaced around the sleeve, compression ribs 136 spaced around the sleeve and/or a lip seal 150 disposed radially around the sleeve. The sleeve is inserted in a surrounding assembly 50 (fig 5 not shown) with the seals axially engaging flanges 60 forming annular seats. Elements 72 engage with the surrounding assembly to prevent rotation of the sleeve. The annular seat may be part of a hair care appliance. |
