Load restraint for simultaneously securing and covering a load. The restraint comprises two straps 102a, 102b, being laterally spaced-apart and extending longitudinally between first and second ends of a net 100, formed of a first material, preferably webbing. First and second attachment points 108a, 108b are connected to the first and second side straps 102a, 102b and being provided at or near the first and second ends of the net respectively, and attach the restraint to a vehicle. A sheet 200 covers the load and is formed of a second material, preferably tarpaulin, being provided laterally between the first and second side straps, the sheet being coupled to the first and second side straps in such a way so as to allow longitudinal extension of the first and second side straps relative to the sheet when the net is tethered to a vehicle. The straps may pass through first and second sleeves in the sheet, which may be formed of a folded back portion of the sheet. |
