A cage (7, Fig. 1), e.g. ring-shaped, for a roller bearing (1, Fig. 1) comprises first (8, Fig. 2) and second (9, Fig. 3) wave-shaped holding plates opposite to each other, each plate comprises pockets 10,20 interconnected by bridges 21, wherein a bridge (11, Fig. 2) of the first plate comprises an opening (13, Fig. 2), and a bridge 21 of the second plate comprises a lip 23 located in, e.g. bent into, the opening, wherein in the circumferential direction the opening is wider than the lip, i.e. a tongue-in-groove connection. The bridge (11, Fig. 2) of the first plate may comprise an extension 14, e.g. two extensions adjacent to the opening, bent over the bridge 21 of the second holding plate. Each plate may be made as a whole or be integrally formed. The plates are rotatably interconnected to compensate for different pocket sizes due to production tolerances. Also a roller bearing comprising the cage is claimed. |
