<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall surface body which has a shelf that is easily attached/detached and is not removed even if a force is applied from the lower part when it is installed. <P>SOLUTION: A wall surface body is provided with a wall surface main body 1, a cross member 2 and a shelf 3, and the cross member 2 projects on the front side of the wall surface main body 1, and the shelf 3 has an engaging part 4, an upper contact part 5, a mounting auxiliary member 6 and fixing means 7. The engaging part 4 is to engage with an engaged part 8 installed in the cross member 2, and the upper contact part 5 is located at the underside of the front side of the engaging part 4 in the shelf 3 and is in contact with the top face of the cross member 2. The mounting auxiliary member 6 is installed at the underside of the front side of the upper contact part 5 in the shelf 3 and has a lower contact part 9 to be in contact with the underside of the cross member 2.
