PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To newly provide a means for objectively and accurately diagnosing cattle particularly in a morbid state requiring treatment in Theileria orientalis infections.
SOLUTION: A cell suspension prepared from bovine peripheral blood is mixed with a Theileria orientalis antigen, and IFN-γ secreted T cells and IL-10 secreted T cells specifically responsive to the Theileria orientalis antigen in the suspension are activated to each secrete the IFN-γ and IL-10 in the T cells. The numbers of the IFN-γ secreted T cells and the IL-10 secreted T cells are each then measured by using an IFN-γ antibody and anti-IL-10 antibody. Thus, the numbers of the IFN-γ secreted T cells and IL-10 secreted T cells specifically responsive to the Theileria orientalis antigen in the suspension are determined to thereby detect the presence or absence or the morbid state of the bovine Theileria orientalis infections using the numbers of the T cells as an index.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
