PURPOSE:To inspect the quality of the bonded part between a tube body and its shoulder part automatically and exactly. CONSTITUTION:If the bonded part 8 between a tube body 1 and its shoulder part 3 is perfectly welded, the ultrasonic wave introduced into the bonded part from a generator 18 is not guided outside of the tube body 1 or is guided outside only in attenuated low acoustic pressure, whereby the bonded part 8 is judged excellent. On one hand, if a gap is existing in the bonded part 8, the ultrasonic wave passes through the gap and is inspected by a receiver 22 outside of the tube T, whereby said bonded part 8 is judged defective. |
