To prevent the generation of contact error, a thin film transistor according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a semiconductor which is formed on a substrate and includes a source region, a drain region, and a channel region; a gate insulating layer located on the semiconductor; a gate electrode located on the gate insulation layer; an interlayer dielectric which is located on the gate electrode and has a contact hole which exposes the source region and the drain region of the semiconductor, separately; and a source electrode and a drain electrode which are located on the interlayer dielectric and touch the source region and the drain region through the contact hole, respectively. At least one of the contact holes which expose the source region and the drain region diagonally crosses the semiconductor.
