<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater which has a simple constitution and performs the cleaning of stain attached to a bathtub wall surface by feeding fine air bubbles repeatedly into a bathtub. <P>SOLUTION: The hot water storage type water heater includes: water filling piping 26 for filling hot water into the bathtub 15; a water filling ejector 31 which is arranged in the middle of the water filling piping 26 and enables the fine air bubbles for cleaning the inner wall of the bathtub 15 to be generated in hot water in the water filling piping 26; a water filling solenoid valve 44 which adjusts the flow rate of water to be filled into the bathtub 15 from the water filling piping 26; and a cleaning means which cleans the inner wall of the bathtub 15 by performing a water filling operation of filling hot water containing the fine air bubbles from the water filling piping 26 into the bathtub 15 during the execution of the water discharge open for discharging bath tub water in the bath tub 15.
