CULTIVATION OF MICROALGAE

摘要

PURPOSE:To enable mass cultivation of microalgae without causing the contamination with condensing agent by culturing microalgae in seawater under irradiation of light while blowing CO2 gas into the seawater, adding Na2CO3 to the culture medium in place of CO2 and continuing the cultivation of microalgae under light irradiation. CONSTITUTION:Microalgae are cultured in seawater in a 1st culture tank 100 at pH6.5-8.5 under irradiation of light while blowing CO2 gas into the seawater until the concentration of the microalgae reaches a prescribed level, when the algae are transferred to a 2nd culture tank 101. In the 2nd culture tank, Na2CO3 is added to seawater and the cultivation of the microalgae is continued at pH8.5-9.5 under light irradiation.
