The monitoring method of a rail-switch adjusting resistance according to the present invention is intended for a rail-switch comprising at least one point machine that is driven by a three-phase asynchronous electric motor being coupled with movable mechanical parts of the rail switch via a gearbox and a slip friction clutch, and a device for conversion of the rotary motion to advance movement. During the change in position of the point machine, there is measured a time history of power component of the current of one phase of the three-phase asynchronous electric motor, which is directly proportional to mechanical force, by which the point machine acts on the rail-switch movable part and which is thus directly proportional to the rail-switch adjusting resistance, whereupon said time history of power component of the current is stored and compared with the maximum allowable value of the three-phase asynchronous electric motor power consumption, corresponding to the mechanical adjustment of the slip friction clutch at slip and hence the rail-switch adjusting resistance, characterizing the rail-switch technical condition, is thus continuously determined and monitored. |
